French armed forces in 2024
Thank you in advance. Luludu38 (talk) 16:09, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, please let me know what changes are required and I will update this graphic within a day: File:French Armée de Terre organization 2023.png. Best regards, Noclador (talk) 16:37, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- This page is up to date https://fr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organisation_de_l%27Arm%C3%A9e_de_terre_fran%C3%A7aise the changes are essentially the creation of superieir command as well as support brigades which means that divisions no longer have units that are directly subordinate to them. Luludu38 (talk) 23:01, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. I used the page above and the French Army's website to update the English wikipedia's entry about the en:Structure of the French Army. Would you please be so kind to go there and check for errors and omissions? Once I know that the data at "Structure of the French Army" is correct I will create a new graphic to preserver also the old graphic. Thank you, and with best regards, Noclador (talk) 02:30, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Luludu38: I created the graphic based on the info I have now. Please check it for errors and omissions, and let me know if there are any changes required. Thank you, Noclador (talk) 19:36, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- It seems to me very good except for some omissions because it seems to me that the uiisc 4 has its first operational elements the BSPP depends on the engineering arm and the 24th battalion of infantry (or regiment I do not know any more) is a reserve unit which depends on the regional command ile de France more if that is possible I would put the battalion of command of the divisions in dotted line because those exist to my knowledge that on paper currently but must be formed at the time of the next law of military programming.
- Thank you for your work I'll keep you informed if I have more information Luludu38 (talk) 20:34, 12 November 2024 (UTC)

@Luludu38: Added: UIISC 4 in Libourne, colored the BSPP in the engineer color, moved the 24th battalion to the Île-de-France Zone (I hope that is correct). I left the division's command battalions as they are, because they will be formed anyway. Also: created graphics for the two divisions: File:French Armée de Terre - 1re Division organization 2025.png and File:French Armée de Terre - 3e Division organization 2025.png. Thank you for your help in updating these graphics, Noclador (talk) 23:28, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- Amazing work thank you so much Luludu38 (talk) 21:22, 13 November 2024 (UTC)

- Hi Noclador,
- Thank you for your work. I've noticed some littles mistakes :
- "HQ 27e brigade d'infanterie de montagne" is in Grenoble (and the "27e compagnie de commandement et de transmissions de montagne" is in Varces)
- the "groupement d'aguerrissement en montagne" is now part of the 27e BIM — Preceding unsigned comment added by Niko67000 (talk • contribs) 07:53, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- official name is "712e compagnie de transmissions" (not 712e compagnie cyber)
- the "bataillon de renseignement de réservistes spécialistes" (B2RS - Intelligence Reserve Battalion) part of the Commandement des actions dans la profondeur et du renseignement is missing
- "double appellations" no longer exists, so the "Régiments du Service militaire volontaire" are just "RSMV" and the "Groupements de recrutement et de sélection" are just "GRS" and also just "GRLE"
- "Service militaire volontaire", "Service militaire adapté" and "Délégation aux réserves de l'armée de terre" are now parts of the "Direction des ressources humaines de l'armée de terre" — Preceding unsigned comment added by Niko67000 (talk • contribs) 07:48, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- "Détachement de Légion étrangère de Mayotte" is now "5e Régiment Étranger"
- EMSOME is now a school ("école militaire de spécialisation pour l'outre-mer et l'étranger"), overseas units are parts of "CORTOM" ("commandement organique terre pour l'outre-mer")
- "24e régiment d'infanterie" is now only on Versailles (no longer in Vincennes)
- Great work ! Niko67000 (talk) 07:40, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- Niko67000 - thank you for the info! I have a busy work day today, but will try to update the graphic in the evening. Cheers, Noclador (talk) 10:23, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- I've also updated the schools parts of the Army Human Resources Directorate. Niko67000 (talk) 10:53, 18 September 2025 (UTC)

- Hi Noclador,
- very good work. I've some new informations :
- the "Groupement d'Aguerrissement en Montagne" (GAM) is part of "École Militaire de Haute Montagne" (not 27e BCA) since 2024
- the "Section Technique de l'Armée de Terre" (STAT) is now part of "Commandement du Combat Futur"
- the "Centre du Renseignement Terre" is Battalion size (200 people) not brigade size
- the "121e Compagnie de Transmissions" supports HQ "Commandement de l'Appui Terrestre Numérique et Cyber"
- the "École des Transmissions du Numérique et du Cyber" is now part of "Direction des Ressources Humaines de l'Armée de Terre" (not BANC)
- the "28e Groupe Géographique" is affiliated with Artillery
- the "Brigade Militaire de la Sécurité Civile" and its units are affiliated with Engineering Corps (like the "Brigade des Sapeurs Pompiers de Paris"). The DRAT ("Délégation aux Réserves de l'Armée de Terre") is part of "Direction des Ressources Humaines de l'Armée de Terre" (not BMSC).
- the "École Militaire de Spécialisation pour l'Outre-Mer et l'Étranger" is affiliated with Troupes de Marine
- the "Centre de Transport et Transits de Surface" is now part of the SIMMT
- I don't know about the "Centre de Doctrine et d'enseignements au Commandement" in the new organisation. I can't find any information...
- Niko67000 (talk) 17:08, 19 September 2025 (UTC)
- Fixed, but did not have space for the "Section Technique de l'Armée de Terre" and the "Délégation aux Réserves de l'Armée de Terre", therefore they are no longer on the graphic. Noclador (talk) 10:19, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
- Bonjour, Le 785° compagnie GE (EW) est indiqué comme régiment - Cordialement Mickline78 (talk) 11:22, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
- Fixed. Thank you, Noclador (talk) 12:16, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
- Depuis l’été 2024, le 6e bataillon d’infanterie de marine est remplacé, par une académie militaire, mais que devient la 43e BIMa ? Mickline78 (talk) 13:22, 24 September 2025 (UTC)

Update request
[edit]Hello, Noclador.
Can you add the border of South Sudan in File:Eurocopter EC 725 Operators.png, File:World operators of the EADS CASA C-295 (M and Persuader).png and File:Germanische sprachen.PNG? The country became independent in 2011, and its borders need to be shown in these three maps, whose titles have no given dates and thus are not time constrained. You can copy and paste the border of South Sudan into these three maps from File:Unrecognized countries.png, which has the same size of these three maps.
Can you update these maps, including the one you created?
Yours sincerely, 2A00:1D36:1011:5701:FB27:8591:C017:6157 23:53, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
- Anyone can edit these maps: just download File:BlankMap-World.png and then apply the colors as used in the maps you wish to replace. Noclador (talk) 01:06, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
israeli border police
[edit]hello Noclador, I saw the great work you did on the IDF divisions, especially the new 96th "Gilead" Division. Unfortunately, I was unable to help edit and update the entry myself since I do not have the appropriate permissions on the English Wikipedia. I wanted to ask if you could edit an additional structure for the Israeli Border Guard (Magav). Although they are subordinate to the Israel Police, they ultimately constitute a semi-military force and operate as a gendarmerie and sometimes as a fully military force (this is apart from the new National Guard that was recently established within the Border police). The Hebrew Wikipedia provides a lot of information on the structure of the force, brigades, and various units. I would love to hear what you think Aviadav (talk) 23:10, 17 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Aviadav: Thank you for the compliments about my work. I can do a Israeli Border Guard graphic, but as I do not speak Hebrew I have to rely on Hebrew-speaking editors to prepare the basic organization of the units I draw up graphics. These editors either post the requested organization to my talk page or create the organization in their sandbox and then point me to it so I can base the graphic on the data they collected. If you can create a listing / overview of the Israeli Border Guard units, I can help you insert them into the respective articles and then create the graphic. Best regards, Noclador (talk) 01:13, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
Update request Albanian Armed Forces structure 2020
[edit]Hi Noclador, I hope you're doing well. I'm writing because your diagram "Albanian Armed Forces structure 2020" has been incredibly useful, and I wanted to ask if you might consider updating it to reflect the current structure of the Albanian Armed Forces. Your work is widely used and appreciated, and an updated version would really help a lot of people. thanks so much for all the effort you put into these graphics ~Killerdani12 Killerdani12 (talk) 19:01, 27 November 2025 (UTC)
